Trauma & PTSD Therapy in Asheville, NC

Heal From What Happened

Trauma changes how you experience the world. Effective treatment can help you feel safe again and move forward with your life.

Signs That Trauma Is Still Affecting You

  • Flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive memories
  • Feeling on edge, easily startled, or constantly alert for danger
  • Avoiding places, people, or situations that remind you of what happened
  • Difficulty trusting others or feeling close to people
  • Emotional numbness or feeling disconnected from yourself
  • Shame, guilt, or self-blame about what happened
  • Difficulty sleeping or concentrating
  • Feeling like you're not the same person you used to be

These responses make sense given what you've been through. They're signs that your nervous system is still trying to protect you. With the right support, healing is possible.

Trauma-Informed Treatment

I take a gentle, paced approach to trauma work that prioritizes your sense of safety

Safety First

Before processing traumatic memories, we build a foundation of safety. You'll learn grounding techniques and develop resources to manage difficult emotions when they arise.

We never rush into the hard stuff. You're always in control of the pace.

Parts Work (IFS)

Trauma often creates protective parts of us that carry pain or try to keep us safe. Internal Family Systems helps you understand and heal these parts with compassion.

This approach is gentle and allows you to process trauma without being overwhelmed by it.
